I have been using MS-Access via ODBC connection to HANA for about 6-7 months just fine. But yesterday started having issues. This is general - as multiple users have this exact same problem and our IT group cannot seem to figure it out.
I can go to External Data within MS-Access, Import or Link to HANA and actually see tables populate on the list which are in HANA, but as soon as I try to actually import or link we get an error:
ODBC call failed
[SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB32 DLL][HDB] General error; 3587 invalid protocol or indexserver (statistics server) shutdown during distributed query execution: [26 (#3587)
Can anyone give me any clues to pass on to IT as to what happened? All was working fine for months, then suddenly yesterday we are totally shut down due to this error.
