AFL usage as HANA client

Hi all,

I'm trying to evaluate following use case for AFL.

Aim is to create an app that would exchange data with HANA. Obvious choices to base this app are xDBC, SQLDBC etc..

Maybe silly idea but what about if the app would be based on HANA AFL library? It would be hooked on to AFL and data will go through it. To be honest I assume here that SDK for AFL is available which I'm not sure about.
